NEW YEARS WEEKEND 2007

Update on the event for 2007

We will be holding the event again this year.

The dates will be Friday, December 28th, 2007 through Tuesday, January 1st, 2008

The location will be the same as the last 2 years - Norfolk Waterside.  We are expecting the hotel to give us much better rates than last year.

The Abayas will NOT be coming this year as planned.  We have learned that they have landed a contract with NBC and will be touring the country and elsewhere.  We expect the other local and out of town instructors from last year to return.  We are in the process of lining up a replacement couple for the Abayas.

There will be about 60 dance workshops.  Private lessons from the event instructors will be available.

There will be simultaneous dances held each evening - Main Ballroom and 2-3 outer ballrooms.

We will have the Dinner Dance on Saturday night and the NYE Dance on Monday night.

Roberto will be playing for the Dinner Dance and New Year's Eve.  Fred Yancy has not yet committed to coming this year.  If he doesn't, then we will contract for another ballroom music DJ to take his place.

We are looking again for an individual to handle the reservations.  Gay Octavo is currently our Chapter Treasurer and will not be able to perform this function this year.  If interested, please contact Wanda Smith at: 757-410-8880 or Email: pixielingling@aol.com
